The software now supports importing ChemStation data channels from an Agilent OpenLab .dx raw data file.
The MS View > Copy to Clipboard menu has new options for specifically copying absolute intensities, regardless of the displayed intensities. Both the Copy to Clipboard > Spectral Peak Table and Copy to Clipboard > Spectrum String menus have the following two new items for copying absolute intensities:
Both menus also have the original two items for copying the intensities as displayed:
The following method steps now support specifying the destination folder within the method editor (Method > Manage & Run Methods > Edit):
The Subtract Spectrum from Image Method command handles negative normalization ratio exceptions gracefully by skipping subtraction on the pixel that caused it and proceeding with the rest of the image instead of halting with an error message. This improvement also applies to MS Viewer > Arithmetic Ops > Subtract From Image.
The software now hides disabled image-specific options if no image is open when Export Configuration.
The following items in the Project > Reports menu now support all images inside a project without requiring associated runs:
The following items in the Project > Run menu now support all images inside a project without requiring associated runs:
The Project run details and image details panes now display a complete source file path. Linked files are resolved to the linked source location. Runs originating from a data folder display the full path to the source file within that folder.
When saving a new image from within an instance of the Image program launched from a project, the save destination will now default to the project's Images folder.
The command line interface now supports processing images with a method using the new '-method [Path to method file]
' option.
The command line argument usage has been simplified in several ways:
Cli.bat
'.2>&1 1>nul | more
') are no longer needed at the end of a command line call.
Compatibility: Note that the above improvements depend on
using the new interface. The new interface is preferred for manual
command line processing. The previously used
CommandLine.bat
still exists but may not be supported in future versions.
The command line interface now exits with an error message if provided an invalid method or command file path instead of silently skipping processing steps.
The default system settings can now be set within Investigator through the new Tools > Configure Settings menu.
When double-clicking on an image name from the Images list in the Images perspective, Investigator now performs validation to determine if the source file exists and what software should be used to open the file.
Once an image is selected in the Images perspective, the path of its source file is now displayed in the title of the content pane.
The Set Calibration Table file browser in Run > Process Runs > Automated Actions opened the Documents folder instead of the project folder.
On some systems, an exception would be thrown from the following:
Sequence Tables > Import a Shimadzu Text Sequence Table did not put all values into the right columns.
Reports > Internal Standard threw an uncaught exception if an image was added with no batch available and selected as the Calibration Run.
Reports > Internal Standard displayed a wrong title on the sample list. Reports > Internal Standard Calibration displayed a wrong title on the calibration batch list.
The Save Summary Report checkbox on the Run > Process Runs > Automated Actions pane is hidden when the Use Method checkbox is selected. However, its state would still affect the output of the summary report. Now, a summary report is always output if Use Method is selected.
When running a method from Project > Method > Manage and Run, selecting a method outside of the project with the same name as a method within the project Processing folder would cause the method in the Processing folder to be run.
When running a method with an Export Image step (Export Image as CSV, Export Image as Text Format) using the Destination Folder browser a second time would open to the selected folder's parent instead of the selected folder.
Running a method containing a Detect Blobs step on a non-MS chromatogram would insert a Search Library step and fail with an exception under the following settings:
Workaround: Turn off the Perform library lookup after 'blob detection' automatically setting
When operating on a chromatogram with spectra having non-integer m/z values, spectrum subtraction (MS cursor mode > select point > Arithmetic Ops > Subtract From Image) would have no effect under the following settings:
Ctrl-clicking on the Retention Index Calibration item in the Configure Defaults dialog for RI Table (Configure > RI Table > Settings... > Reset drop down menu > Configure Defaults) would throw an exception.
When importing a configuration that includes preferred image display dimensions (by checking the Current Display Dimensions option when exporting a configuration) a prompt asking to resize the image was always shown, even if no image was open.
The Investigator images list was not sortable on launch but was after applying a filter.
Workaround: Type in the Filter field at bottom, then the list is sortable.
After closing an open analysis in Investigator, the name of the image was still shown in the title of the Image View.
In the Image program, Method > New Method from Current Image will no longer add the Save Summary Report step automatically.
In old versions, image files created from Run > Process Runs but discarded from the project by closing the project without saving would be overwritten on subsequent use of Run > Process Runs. Now the existing image files will not be overwritten. Instead the Project program will save the processed images to new files with automatically generated unique file names.
