GC Image, LLC (Lincoln, Nebraska) was incorporated in December 2002, as a spin-off of software for comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC) originally developed in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL). With core strengths in scientific data processing, advanced visualization technologies, and software design, the company has developed industry-leading informatics software for GCxGC, comprehensive two-dimensional liquid chromatography (LCxLC), and other two-dimesional separation technologies. The company's newest software provides tools for sample classification and biomarker discovery with comprehensive two-dimensional chromatography and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). The company's innovative research and development has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other government and commercial organizations. Strategic partnerships, such as with Zoex Corporation, pioneer and industry-leading supplier of GCxGC systems, deliver software products into the global markets for diverse applications.
