File Impot is extremly slow

Hi,

We are using GC image 2022r3 software, when we try to import file, it's taking more than 90 minutes, we are facing this issue from last 3 weeks, before it was just few minutes to import a file to the softare.

What is the format of your raw data files?

If Import worked before, the slow import may be due to some changes in

• the Windows system (security permissions, virus protection etc.). Try running the software under the Admin permission.
• the network settings if the files are stored on a shared drive. Copying the file to a local folder of the computer may reveal the cause and work around the issue.
• the data acquisition settings. For example, centroiding is turned off and only the profile data is acquired.

we are trying to open Agilent MassHunter (.D) file

I ran the Sofware as admin but same issue

File is saved locally in the computer

For Agilent MassHunter (.D) files, the most likely cause is that centroiding was turned off in the MassHunter data acquisition settings. You may try perform centroiding in MassHunter first before Import.

Otherwise, profile data can be extremely large and take long time and more computer memory to import. You may try

• Configure > Settings > System > set Virtual Memory to Auto, and restart the program

Also, you may compare the file sizes of the .D folder and the imported .CDF file, which will show the size of data imported. If the size exceeds the RAM size of the computer, you may need to set Import - MS Filter to reduce the data size.

Thanks for your help; the centroiding is turned off and we turned it and test it and the file got imported in few seconds
