Targeted Isotopic Analysis? - EPA Method 1668 based approach?

Post by mgentry980 »

Can this Software platform be used for Targeted analysis acquisitions from a GC x GC TOF MS system. Our lab method is based on EPA 1668 and EPA 1614 that use C12 analytes with surrogate C13 analytes added as Internal standards in the beginning of the extraction before cleanup and addition of the final Recovery C13 standards to be able to calculate our percent recoveries. We are just trying to find a better software platform that is able to help us with this targeted approach versus the GC x GC traditional software that focuses on untargeted analysis and fingerprinting that are not friendly for targeted analysis. We received the trial version and are able to download one of our daily verification checks after converting to ANDI(CDF). We are now about to convert and try to make a curve with curve standards (level 1-5) that contain both the C12 and C13 surrogates. Thanks for any guidance? Marc

You may check the Quick Start demo here first for the basic steps (1-3):

If C12 and C13 compounds co-elute, you may need to setup quantifier ions for the calibration:
