Update Notes R2.3 Update b4
GC Image Release 2.3b4 GCxGC includes improvements and bug fixes over previous R2.3 releases.
If GC Image R2.3b1 or older 2.3 version is installed, then R2.3b4 can be installed
as update by downloading and executing the update
program. If an older GC Image R2.3 is not installed (or for a separate installation),
then R2.3b4 can be installed from scratch by downloading and executing the
installation program.
Bug Fixes
- Cannot select .ms, .ch, .uv files inside a MassHunter .D folder
- Fail to import a TIFF file
- Failed to process runs by only correcting baseline without detecting blobs
- Run Method failed sometimes if a file parameter was specified at runtime
- Exception when undo loading a template to overwrite existing colored template peak groups
- Sometimes a GCI file was corrupted by control chars that are not allowed
- Default VM Setting was not what recommended
- Delete hot-key did not work when selecting blobs with right-drag first
- Image Investigator: Pause during Generate Composite Chromatogram when Auto Generating Feature Template causes restart of the step
- Failed to open 3D View of an image with a tiny data value range
- Older version could not open a GCM file saved by a later version
- Always logged an exception when double-click to open a GCI file in Windows
- Editing Blob Properties opened CLIC dialogs if there is no CLIC expression saved
- Infinite Loop when importing some ill-formatted Text MS (.gctm) file

- Global CLICs in a configuration file was not applied when importing non-MS data files

- Cropping COL II's From did not work in Pixel Parameters when Import Image
- mzXML file filter did not show all mzXML files
- LSC Reader returned a null spectra at end of a data file
- Import with extract MS/MS option did not save scan acquisition times
- Import MassHunter MS/MS data did not save scan acquisition time

Bug Fixes
- Overflow when importing a ChemStation CH file (6890A type) with very high response
values (Note: The bug also exists in all R2.2 or older versions. For users
of these old versions who are affected by this bug, please
contact us to request a fix.)
- LSC, mzData, and mzXML file types supported by GC Image were not supported by GC Project
- Wrong group color or description was set when loading a template with multiple peak groups
- Process Runs with a method in GC Project ran more processing steps than what defined in the method
- Auto Process with a sequence table in GC Project did not work with ChemStation .D folders
- Wrong SIZE I values were reported for wrap-around blobs in Blob Table
- Wrong spectrum name was submitted to NIST Library when searching library from MS Viewer with single window setting set
- The order of compounds shown in Image Investigator depended on the sorting order for Blob Table by accident
- Attributes PCA and Scatter plots in Image Investigator threw exceptions when configuring columns on an empty data table
- Wrong I/O error was reported when an empty hit list returned by library search
- Skip baseline correction did not report fatal errors to users
- Could not view html reports in a project on a network drive
- Recent Images menu was wrong after saving images with the same file name but different casing
- Missing resource reported when configuring too many attributes for Blob Mouse-Overs
- Summary Report's Select Images dialog in GC Project did not resize correctly
- Data Type list of Sequence Table in GC Project was not up-to-date

Improvements
- Support subscription licenses
- The Quantification chapter in User's Guide is updated with step-by-step instructions
- Add "Default with Auto Range" setting that sets the full data value range for colorization when importing an image
- "Area" attribute name is changed to "Area (pixel count)" for clarity
Bug Fixes
- Compound Library menu item is missing from the Configure menu
- Phase shift is lost when opening an unprocessed MS image
- Unexcluding an exclude graphic does not update blobs' percent responses
- Exception when quitting to edit aCLIC or qCLIC field in Blob Table
- Editing the Included attribute in Blob Table does not update the ISTD association
- Editing the Name attribute in Area Table does not set dirty to the image
- Setting Text Object or Chemical Structure in Blob Table does not repaint immediately
- Text Object and Chemical Structure Object are shown in Area Table but not functional
- Wrong label in the Auto Mesh dialog
- Typos in the License Agreement dialog
