Internal Standard Quantitation

Hallo,
I am working using SIDA (Standard Isotope Dilution Analysis), is it possible to perform the "internal standard quantitation" using the ratio between qualifiuer and quantifier instead of "volume" and "1st quantifier" responses?

No, not right now although we are planning to support isotope dilution in the future. Currently a possible workaround is either to obtain the calibration function externally and then compute the quantities with Analysis CLIC of a blob, or use an area object overlapping with a blob. Both are a little bit tricky.

Is it possible to visualize more than 4 quantifiers or qualifiers in the blob table?

You can add CLIC columns to show more quantifiers and qualifiers. For example, CLIC "Quantifier[5]" will show the 5th quantifier.

Hello,

I have the similar problem with SIDA setup. You mentioned that it is doable by "using an area object overlapping with a blob". Could you give some detail instructions about the procedures? Thanks so much.

For R2.5, the area-object work-around is :

1. Create an area object overlapping with the blob
(http://www.gcimage.com/gcxgc/usersguide ... sFromBlobs)

2. Set the blob as ISTD

3. Specify different names for the blob and area object, for example, Blob is "Benzene-ISTD", Area is "Benzene".

4. Specify quantifier ions for the area object and the blob

5. Quantify with the area object as usual
(http://www.gcimage.com/gcxgc/usersguide ... l#quantIon)

Note that the above workaround may or may not work for you, which depends on the calibration/quantitation equations you want to use.
