Import of MSMS data in GC Image

Post by cvua1 »

Hello,
I deal with a certain problem for a longer period of time now.
I do my measurements with GCxGC-QTOF/MS and I am not able to open different MSMS data with GC image. In my method there are different time segments where I have different precursor ions. In the 2D chromatogram I can see that the MSMS method works but I am not able to open it in GC Image.
It would be really helpful to get a guidance how to open different types of MSMS data.

Thank you for your help!

Can you import the data and see a normal 2D TIC in GC Image?

I don't see a 2D TIC in GC Image. I only see the 2D TIC in the MassHunter (Agilent) Software.

Here is a quick check list:
  1. Does the program report any error when Import Image?
Check here for a MassHunter-related problem.
  2. After Import, does the TIC look normal?
In order to generate a 2D chromatogram image, raw data need to be uniformly sampled. But almost any MS/MS mode results in non-uniform sampling. So you may need to turn on Advanced > Interpolation (either Linear or NN) with Auto Resampling in the Import dialog. More details on interpolation are discussed here.
If the problem persists, you may contact our support directly with more details, e.g. the software version number, screenshots, and problem data files.
