Re: Blob analysis - chemometrics

For mzXML, the software does write out the 1D retention times. You may convert them back to 2D retention times if start time and modulation period are known. For example,

Code: Select all

RT2 = (rt - start time) % modulation period
RT1 = rt - RT2
Note that the above does not work for variable modulation.

Re: NIST MS search installation

No, you don't need to install the NIST Demo if a NIST library is already installed. To use the installed NIST library, go to Configure > Settings > Library Search , then click on the Auto Locate button. The software should locate the NIST installation automatically. If not, you may use the Browse bu...

Re: Blob analysis - chemometrics

For exporting the m/z-intensity raw data array, it may also be done with an Export Image plugin.

Re: MS/FID TEMPLATE

You can save the template through the File > Save Template menu, then load the template to any chromatogram image by switching to the Template mode > Template > Load Template....

You can use Tools > Compare Images Side-by-Side to compare them interactively.

Re: The unit of Size I(50)

The Sec column in the figure already reports values in seconds.

Note that Size I is always a multiple of modulation period. It looks like the modulation period is 60s. If so, Size I values will be a multiple of 60s.

Re: MS/FID Simultaneous Analysis

You may identify peaks in MS data, create a template, and apply it to the FID data. If retention times are almost identical, template matching can be done with almost minimum distance thresholds. Note that retention times between MD and FID may not be always identical even with a splitter. We recent...

Re: The unit of Size I(50)

The CLIC column simply multiplies the value by 60. You may delete the *60 part and check what is reported. If it still reports a wrong value, please share the version of your software and a screenshot of the Blob Table.

Re: The unit of Size I(50)

If the values in minutes are to small to be displayed with the default 2 decimal places, you may right click on the Column Header "Size I(50)". A small window will pop up and allow you to increase the decimal places to be displayed. To display values in seconds, you may add a CLIC column w...
